Visit Southend has announced the city's Pier Hill lift is out of action.
The lift from the High Street to the seafront is out of action with alternative step-free access available via Pier Hill.
It is unclear why the lift is out of action.

A Visit Southend spokesman said: "If you're planning on visiting the seafront, why not avoid the hill and park in one of our seafront parking areas?"
