A driver wanted for common assault who was pulled over in Shoebury gave police false details before he was found with drugs on him.
Officers stopped a Fiesta in Shoebury for having no insurance in the early hours yesterday (August 15).
The driver gave false details but officers soon discovered he was disqualified from driving and wanted for common assault and two warrants.

They also found Class A and B drugs on him.
He was arrested for these offences and obstruction. His vehicle was also seized.
A spokesman for Essex Police's operational support group said: "Some good work from Essex Police Southend today and the suspect has been charged and remanded with disqualified driving, no insurance, obstructing police, Section 4A public order and possession of both Class A and B drugs.
"Not forgetting the warrant and breach of court order."
