A driver who was caught by police speeding on his way to collect his children failed a drug wipe.
Officers from Essex Police's roads policing unit were out in Southend last night when they pulled a driver over for speeding.

The driver, who was on the way to collect his children, failed a roadside drug wipe and spent the evening in custody.
An Essex Roads Policing spokesman said: "Officers out tonight in Southend stopped a driver speeding, having failed a roadside drug wipe he will be spending the evening in custody rather than collecting his children."
