Thousands of residents and visitors descended on Southend seafront last night as the popular Halloween Parade returned.
Dozens of acts and puppets created a memorable procession of light and colour and wowed crowds.
The free event took place last night (October 29) from 6pm until around 7.30pm - finishing with the seafront fireworks.
The parade started at the Eastern Esplanade before ending by Roberto’s at the Western Esplanade.

Southend's car parks filled up fast as thousands flocked to watch the Halloween event which included around 50 community acts, such as Mandinga Arts, Rampage, Southend Ghostbusters, as well as the return of the amazing Spark! Drummers!
Music, dancing, lights, and also giant puppets, with the first giant spider puppet by Tom Davies, amazed parade-goers.
Matt Dent, Labour councillor for Kursaal ward, who attended the parade, said on Facebook: "The Southend Halloween Parade was a stunning success once again.
"The seafront was packed with residents and visitors come to see the spooky cavalcade.
"And some fantastic puppets and costumes on display."
