McDonald's has unveiled plans to revamp one of its Southend restaurants.

Plans have been submitted to Southend Council for the refurbishment of the popular fast food restaurant at Southend Airport Retail Park.

The proposals include extensions totalling 24.8 sqm with new furniture and fresh drive thru booths.

The company is proposing the installation of a new folded roof concept with cladding and louvres and a new flat roof over back of house area.

The replacement drive thru booths proposed will feature new glazing and aluminium cladding.

Customers would see new patio furniture added with associated works to the site as well as replacement and new fascia signage.

The shopfront cladding would be repainted to match existing finishes.

The city council will rule on the plans.
