This year’s John Lewis Christmas advert – by now a national tradition – gives a nod to the charity, which supports children and young people in the care system.
In the 1.30min advert, a soon-to-be foster father (painfully) tries to learn to skateboard in preparation for the arrival of their foster child Ellie – a keen skater.
At the end of the ad, John Lewis announces its partnership with the charity.
“I absolutely loved the video when I saw it on Thursday morning for the first time,” Mr Harris said.
“I was delighted to be approached by GoFundMe and asked to fundraise for this excellent cause - they have agreed to help with marketing and PR for this so we can make a real impact with this appeal.”
Mr Harris has so far helped to raise almost £4,000.
