This fantastic snap of US music superstar Donny Osmond dropping into Adrian’s Records in Wickford, has been hiding in our Echo photographic archives.

It has been dug up thanks to volunteers from the Rayleigh Town Museum who are helping to scan our old photographic negatives.

It shows the crooner at the record shop on September 17, 1987 and it has promoted us to root around for other photos of famous faces in south Essex places.

And we’ve found a few.

From a great shot of Tennis ace Fred Perry in Southend to James Bond legend Roger Moore, alongside Britt Ekland, breezing into Rayleigh, to Little Mix members at a Southend book store and James Corden (before all the controversy) at Lakeside.
