Police raided homes in Benfleet and Westcliff after a driver was found with more than £6,000 cash and suspected drugs.
Operation Falcon officers stopped a car acting suspiciously in the Woodside area in Benfleet on Monday afternoon (October 23).
When police approached the driver, they say he tried to hide something and actively resisted when being removed from the car.

The driver and car were both searched, with a quantity of suspected class A drugs and more than £6,000 in cash found and seized.
A man, 22 from Benfleet, was arrested on suspicion of drugs offences.
Subsequent home raids in Benfleet and Westcliff revealed further drugs and cash, along with mobile devices.
An Essex Police spokesman said: "After a long day he was charged, and remanded into custody."
