A road near Southend seafront has been shut for emergency repairs anticipated to last for a week.
The closure in Victoria Road has been implemented between the junctions with Collier Way and Northumberland Avenue to allow for emergency sewer repairs.
The works are expected to last for one week with the closure set to be in place for 21 days or until the work is completed.

"The order is in place for 21 days or until work is completed, and it is anticipated that works will last for one week.
"Residents of Kursaal ward with any questions or concerns about this can, as ever, get in touch with me at cllrdent@southend.gov.uk."
While this section of Victoria Road is closed, a diversion route for traffic will be marked on site and access for residents will be maintained where possible.
