SCUNTHOPRE United have parted company with manager Keith Hill and his assistant Tony McMahon.

Scunthorpe, who were relegated from League Two last season, have kicked off the National League campaign with just three points from their first six games.

And Hill has now become the first National League boss to lose his job this season.

A club statement said: “Scunthorpe United can confirm it has parted company with first team manager Keith Hill and assistant manager Tony McMahon.

“We thank both for their efforts while with the club and wish them the best for the future.

“A further statement regarding the interim management of the team will be released in due course.”
