THE supporter groups of Southend United are still urging fans to delay renewing their season cards for the 2023/24 campaign.

Blues announced an increase in prices earlier this week.

But the supporter groups do not want any fans to get their season cards until chairman Ron Martin can provide more clarity on the club's future.

A statement from the group said: "We’d like to thank all supporters that have completed our 2023/24 season ticket survey so far.

"Despite several attempts and promises from the club to set a date for discussions with supporters’ groups to address our significant concerns about the future of Southend United FC, we still await commitment to a time from Ron Martin.

"As such, our stance remains that we urge all supporters to delay their purchase of season cards for next season at the current time.

"This position will remain until we have the results from the season ticket consultation, and the club chairman treats the situation with the seriousness it demands by engaging with clarity.

"Any fans that have yet to complete the survey are strongly encouraged to do so by Friday, 17th March.

"This is a great way to ensure your voice is heard."
