SOUTHEND United have decided to cancel their pre-season friendly with AFC Wimbledon.
The match was due to take place at Roots Hall on Saturday July 29.
But it will now not be taking place.
A post on the club's website confirmed: "We have made the decision to cancel our pre-season friendly against AFC Wimbledon next weekend.
"It is our priority to ensure Roots Hall will be ready for our first National League game of the season on Saturday 5th August against Oldham Athletic."
Blues have already been forced to cancel pre-season friendlies at Canvey Island and Billericay Town but do face Bishop's Stortford this weekend.
