ECHOSPORT talks to Dorking Wanderers fan James Lampard ahead of Tuesday night's match with Southend United.

How much has the squad changed since last season and who have been the main departures and arrivals?

"The squad hasn’t changed massively.

"Harrison Male has come in as keeper from Worthing and Tony Craig has signed permanently.

"Nicky Wheeler, Sami El-Abd, Alfie Egan and Dan Lincoln have moved on."

Dorking have lost both their matches so far. Are you concerned by the start to the season or is it too early to read too much into things?

"Not overly yet.

"The first game away at Chesterfield was always going to be hard, but to score three and think we’d done enough to secure a draw was tough when they scored again to win 4-3.

"Saturday was disappointing at home to Maidenhead but it’s too early to worry just yet."

What are your hopes for the season ahead?

"Hopes for the season are to get the club safe in the mid table or slightly above.

"Also to start to establish ourselves in the league and off field to get the ground purchase sorted.

Who would you say is the dangerman?

"The dangerman for us would probably be Matt Briggs or Jason Prior.

"So much of our attacking play comes from wide and Briggs has missed a lot of games, with a serious knee injury.

"Hopefully that’s behind him now and we can start to see him flying down the wing again supplying Prior with chances in the box."

What's the team news for Tuesday's game?

"Unknown to be honest.

"Don’t expect many changes, we’ve got injuries again and limited options.

"Perhaps Bobby Joe-Taylor will start as he missed Saturday but I don’t expect many changes from the weekend."
