BILLERICAY Town suffered their first defeat of the Isthmian Premier Division season on Saturday, losing 3-1 to Whitehawk at New Lodge.

Town had won all three of their previous matches but found themselves 3-0 down within 41 minutes.

Brooklyn Kabangolo netted a late consolation for Billericay.

Hashtag United drew 0-0 at home to Folkestone Invicta while there were defeats for Canvey Island and Concord Rangers.

Canvey lost 3-1 at home to Bognor Regis Town with Evans Kouassi bagging their goal while Concord were beaten 3-0 at Hastings United and have yet to pick up a point this season.

In Isthmian North, Basildon United bagged a 3-2 win at Brentwood Town.

Kai Brown scored twice for the Bees while Samir Ali was also on target.

Elsewhere, East Thurrock United lost 5-1 at Heybridge Swifts while Bowers & Pitsea drew 1-1 at New Salamis, thanks to an equaliser from Tosan Popo.

In the FA Vase, there were wins for White Ensign, Great Wakering and Hullbridge Sports.

Ensign beat Colney Heath thanks to an early penalty from Joe Gregory while Wakering won 5-2 at Basildon Town.

Callum Boylan scored a hat-trick while Ben Search and Jake Gordon were also on target.

Hullbridge beat Southend Manor 5-0 with Amaree Robinson-Jones scoring twice and Charlie Heatley, Harry Brown and Jamie Price also netting.
