FORMER Southend United striker Charlie Kelman has joined Wigan Athletic on loan from Queens Park Rangers.
Kelman will spend the rest of the season with the League One Latics.
And boss Shaun Maloney is pleased to have the 22-year-old on board.
He told the club's website: “I am delighted that we’ve managed to sign Charlie.
"He’ll be a great addition to the group, and I am looking forward to working with him.
“He has a different profile to our other number nines and will add a new dynamic to our frontline. He has a lot of strong attributes and I am really happy to have him here.”
Kelman, who is from Wickford, came through the ranks at Roots Hall before scoring eight goals in 35 games for the first team.
The former Bromfords School pupil joined QPR in October 2020 and has since spent time out on loan with both Gillingham and Leyton Orient.
