SOUTHEND United have received no bids for their players.

EFL clubs have until 11pm tonight to add to their squad before the transfer window closes.

But the Shrimpers have not had any offers coming their way.

Blues boss Kevin Maher said: "There's nothing in terms of going out which we’re pleased about.

"It’s testament to the people in the building that everyone likes being here.

"I’m sure there will have been people looking at our players, they would be mad not to but we’re delighted they’re all still here and present at the minute."

Clubs outside the EFL are not restricted by the same transfer guidelines.

But Maher insists no deals are close to being done.

"Not at the minute but we'll always look," said Maher.

"When the EFL window closes we can still be active and that changes a lot I think.

"In terms of coming in there's nothing right now but we'll look and if there's something to be done we'll do it."

And Maher is also hopeful more members of his squad will soon be signing new deals.

"We're still trying to get one or two more done," said Maher.

"Hopefully we’ll have news coming soon."
