Police are asking for witnesses to come forward after a report of possible rogue trader activity in Benfleet.
Officers received a report of a criminal damage and fraud "possibly linked to rogue trader activity" in Steeple Heights, Benfleet on May 25.

A spokesman for Essex Police in Castle Point said: "A 'builder' has allegedly caused damage to the 78 year old victim's roof whilst carrying out an inspection and has then quoted £9,500 to repair."
Anyone who saw anything is asked to call 101 or report online, quoting 42/135758/22.
An Essex Police spokesman added: "We have launched an investigation after receiving a report of criminal damage and fraud at an address in Steeple Heights, Benfleet, on Wednesday May 25
"Our enquiries are ongoing."
No arrests have been made.
