Detectives have issued a number of appeals this week following a host of crimes in south Essex.

They are appealing for anyone with information about the incidents below to get in touch with Essex Police on 101 and help them with their enquiries.

Power drills stolen from B&Q

Echo:

Police want to speak to this man about the theft of four power drills from the B&Q store at Pipps Hill retail park in Miles Gray Road, Basildon.

The theft is thought to have occurred on either March 25 or 26.

The total worth of the drills is said to be hundreds of pounds.

Anyone with information should contact police and quote crime reference number 42/53301/21.

Man threatened with gun during attempted robbery

Echo:

Detectives are searching for this man following a robbery at an address in Southchurch Road in Southend.

The incident saw a man force his way the victim’s room and threaten him with an airsoft gun.

He tried to take the victim’s phone but left empty handed.

The incident happened on March 25.

The crime reference number is 42/52622/21.

Man struck on head with wood

Echo:

A man in his 50s was attacked by a group of teenagers in Little Lullaway in Basildon.

He was hit with a piece of wood during the assault and sustained swelling to the back of the head.

The incident happened at around 10.30pm on April 3.

The crime reference number is 42/59162/21.

Bike owner robbed on High Street

Echo:

A man had his £1,800 mountain bike stolen outside a shop in Southend High Street during a robbery.

The victim, who is in his 30s, had left a blue BMW mountain bike outside JD Sports on Monday (April 12) at about 3.45pm.

He then noticed two young males standing around the bike.

When he returned to the bike to challenge them, a fight broke out and the victim was attacked and stamped on by the attackers.

The two suspects left the scene with the victim’s bike.

Man put in chokehold during train robbery

Echo:

British Transport Police are looking to speak to this man about a robbery on a train.

The incident saw the victim approached by a man who demanded he hand over some of his belongings.

A fight then broke out and saw the suspect put the victim in a chokehold.

The robber eventually got off the train at Basildon station having taken the victim’s coat and watch.

The incident happened around 12.30pm on December 24.
