RYAN Peniston has been awarded a wild card for next week’s cinch Championships at the Queen’s Club.
The Great Wakering based Peniston reached the quarter-finals of the Nottingham Open this week before losing to Alexei Popyrin in straight sets.
But Peniston has now been rewarded for his fine recent form with a place at next week’s tournament which includes some of the very best players in the world.
Current world number six Carlos Alcaraz is the top seed while Casper Ruud and Matteo Berrettini will also be in action along with Great Britain’s Cam Norrie and Andy Murray.
