BLUES boss Kevin Maher was impressed by trialist striker Chris Wreh’s performance against Colchester United on Tuesday night.

Wreh came off the bench for the final 30 minutes at the Community Stadium.

And Maher felt the forward made an impact on the match which ended in a 2-2 draw.

“Chris did well and he showed something again,” said Maher.

He was willing to run into channels and when the ball was played up to him he looked like he was going to create something.

“I was pleased for him.”

Wreh, who was with Banbury United last season, had scored in his previous two outings for Blues against both Canvey Island and Kettering.

But Maher was unable to get fellow trialists Ibby Akanbi and Maxime Addo onto the pitch against the U’s.

“Unfortunately I couldn’t get the other two lads on because we had lads we needed to give minutes to,” said Maher.

“But we’ll have a look at what’s in the building, what way we can do things and make a decision from there."
